"The Sharer Foundation has provided me with invaluable opportunities to expand my professional network with industry leaders and peers. I regularly engage with them to exchange insights and stay current with the evolving trends in our industry. Additionally, the foundation’s support alleviated all financial pressures during my time at university, allowing me to focus entirely on my academic and professional growth".
What advice would you give to prospective Sharer Scholars on how to succeed at Cal?
"Utilize the resources available at the Basic Needs Center, which offers valuable information to assist you in obtaining groceries, food, and connections to external support services and activities. In larger courses, particularly in computer science, building a network of peers can greatly enhance your learning experience—collaborating on projects with a group is often more effective than working alone. While previous generations did not have access to AI-powered coding assistance, I have observed a growing gap in deep understanding of core concepts. To succeed, ensure that you thoroughly study the material and develop a strong foundation in the subject- especially for when you are ready to interview for a job".
