Current Job Description: In my current role, I assist in managing a variety of fixed income portfolios to deliver the distinct financial goals of our clients. Each of these portfolios have unique objectives and challenges that require extreme attention on a daily basis.
How has the Sharer Foundation supported you to get where you are now in your career?
The Sharer foundation supported me in many ways, one of the most clear ones was through financial assistance which helped me have the opportunity to not work while studying full time so I can devote my full attention to career success. The other and I think most important was by connecting me with a community of other transfers with whom I shared similar but different struggles with. Having the opportunity to meet the other scholars was very motivating to me and I cherish those connections greatly to this day.
What advice would you give to prospective Sharer Scholars on how to succeed at Cal?
Find your niche, Cal is a huge school and it can be easy to get lost in all the stuff that is going on. Find a community that resonates with you or that you would like to be a part of and immerse yourself. Having a sense of belonging is very powerful especially when school picks up and life comes in the way.
