Bio: Hello! I nearly failed out of Highschool... a whirlwind junior year saw my dad medically retired and my mother suffering double kidney failure and left me to be the sole breadwinner and support for our family. I tried, and failed, to attend community college after graduation and put my nose to the grind to secure a stable, livable wage, and with some success I could begin to look to the future. Adversity had become my comfort place so when I decided to reenroll in college I wanted to make it count and after much research settled on Engineering. Though I'd only taken Algebra 1 in Highschool I worked my way through calculus and physics to secure a spot at UC Berkeley! Now I spend my mornings Volunteering as a Master Gardener with UCANR and my evenings tucked away in the circuits lab thanks in no small part to the financial security the Sharer Scholars Program has afforded me!
