What are you most excited about and looking forward to in the Sharer Scholars Program and attending UC Berkeley?
I am excited to take advantage of the advanced opportunities at Berkeley, because in community college we had limited resources, and the clubs as well as research opportunities are quite vast at UCB. I would love to start attending university career fairs specific to STEM, which I hear can be quite large and potentially lead to an internship on the spot. I want to network with people who are in graduate school and with my upperclassmen as well, since I will be coming to a school with over 1000 people in my major, compared to my current college where I have only met 5, as we don't offer Data Science here. About Sharer Scholars, I am excited to develop my professional skills and resume, as well as network and meet other people in this program through our shared class. I think I will need a bit of help adjusting to a university so far from home, even though it's in the same state.
